Kite Collection

My kite collection showcases handcrafted designs that use the kite as a canvas. Each kite is a unique exploration of pattern, symbols, and stories.

This kite collection was inspired by my community arts practice, where I have facilitated multiple kite-making workshops. I've always had a close relationship with kites, especially flying them around the time of Dashain (An important Hindu festival). To me, kites symbolise play and our relationship with nature. We need wind to fly the kite, but it's up to us to decide which direction we take the kite. I am now bringing that sense of play and creating kite art that represents my childhood, heritage, artistic pursuits, and stories. I hope you enjoy.
